Empowering Lives.
Strengthening Communities.
Supporting Hartcliffe and Beyond

I founded Local Impact CIC to create the kind of support I wish had been more available when I needed it most—real people, in real communities, doing real work to change lives.
With lived experience of many of the challenges our community faces—poverty, poor mental health, violence, and exclusion—I’ve seen firsthand how critical safe spaces, connection, and purpose can be.
My background in combat sports and fitness (Judo, powerlifting, England Boxing Coach) has shaped my belief in strength—not just physical strength, but the strength to rise, rebuild, and support others to do the same.
Through Local Impact, I combine practical tools like mentoring, wellbeing workshops, and youth engagement with compassion, structure, and lived empathy.
Whether it’s helping young people find direction, supporting women rebuilding after trauma, or offering a space where anyone can just be, my goal is the same: to empower, uplift, and transform community from the inside out.

Why It Matters
Improve physical and mental wellbeing
We use personal training, community classes, and movement-based education to help people manage anxiety, depression, chronic stress, and low self-esteem. By creating accessible, non-judgmental spaces to move and connect, we help our community grow stronger in body and mind
Reduce crime and anti-social behaviour
We engage young people and vulnerable adults in positive physical activity, building purpose, trust, and self-discipline. Through consistent support and mentorship, we offer an alternative path to those who may otherwise be isolated or at risk.
Support recovery from trauma
Our trauma-informed fitness and wellbeing programmes help people reclaim their bodies, rebuild confidence, and rediscover joy through movement. Whether through 1:1 coaching or group work, we provide tools for physical and emotional healing.
Strengthen community networks
We bring people together through movement — from parent-and-child sessions to women-only fitness and intergenerational workshops. Our work fosters inclusion, belonging, and lasting peer support.

Sucess Stories
I've known Leanne for over 16 years, and it's been an absolute privilege to watch her grow into a leader who genuinely represents the heart of our community. As the Ward Councillor for Hartcliffe and Withywood, I see every day the inequalities our residents face—especially when it comes to health and opportunity. The statistics in BS13 are damning, and we need more people like Leanne who are willing to tackle these issues head-on.
Leanne grew up here, so she doesn't just understand our struggles—she's lived them. That gives her a deep-rooted empathy and a fierce determination to create change. She's thoughtful, caring, competitive, and incredibly passionate about lifting others up.
As a fellow martial artist, I always look forward to our time training together—whether it's on the pads or when she’s putting me through my paces with some PT! Her energy is infectious, her knowledge is deep, and her commitment to the community is unwavering.
Through Local Impact CIC, Leanne is building something truly transformational. I’m so excited to see her succeed—because when Leanne wins, our whole community wins.
